Gear Ratio Change
We can fine-tune your car
What is a gear ratio? In relation to an automobile, it is the ability of a smaller gear (input gear or pinion gear) to turn a larger gear (output gear or ring gear) in order to achieve a certain goal:
High Speed or High Torque.
High Speed or High Torque.
Larger tires require a HIGHER number ratio (.456 .488 .513) to turn them properly. Smaller tires or high speed applications require a LOWER number ratio (.241 .256 .273) to achieve a higher overall speed.
